Maintenance of the Colby Canyon Trail has been severely neglected in years past, I long with The JPL Hiking Club have undertaken the task of brushing the trail from the Josephine Saddle to Colby Canyon Creek, roughly 1.3 miles. This work will continue for the foreseeable future.
The work started on Saturday October 16th 1999 and continued on the following dates

Saturday December 11th 1999
Saturday January 8th 2000
Saturday Febuary 12th 2000
Saturday Febuary 26th 2000
Saturday March 4th 2000
Saturday Marth 25th 2000
I have been working on the trail during lull's in my business and as
of December 18th 1999 have put in 91.5 hours. I will continue to work on
this trail whenever I can until it's been brushed and the tread is returned
to reasonable condition.
